Established in 1986, the Medical Biotechnology Center is located in the UMBI Medical Research Facility.The center includes faculty research laboratories, wet laboratories for biomedical companies and an animal core facility.It also houses the National Center for Fluorescence Spectroscopy of the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
