June, 2008: Mora Bamgboye, a graduate student in Dr. W. Jonathan Lederer's laboratory, received Honorable Mention for the 2008 GPILS Ph.D. Scholar award at University of Maryland, Baltimore. GPILS stands for Graduate Program in the Life Sciences at UMB, in which the MBC participates. Ms. Bamgboye is a second-year student in the Molecular Medicine section. She did her undergraduate work at Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Nigeria (OAU Ile-Ife)in microbiology.
The award ceremony is scheduled for September.
