UMBI IACUC meetings are held the third Tuesday of the month
The Coordinator will send PIs a notice 60 days before the month that their protocol expires
All submissions are required to be submitted to the IACUC Coordinator no later than the 1st Friday of every month at 4 p.m. in order to be considered during that month's meeting
Renewal forms must be submitted 30 days before the protocol expiration date
Required Training for Personnel Performing Research with Animals
IACUC Members and Personnel working with laboratory animals are required to go to the University of Maryland CITI training website, register a username & password, take the online training course entitled "Working with the IACUC". Print a certificate and send it to UMBI Research Compliance & Safety
IACUC New Animal Research Protocol Submission Requirements
One signed original form and one original copy of directly relevant database search results must be submitted
Section R. "PHS 398 Section f Instructions" must be completed if you have marked yes to "Vertebrate Animals" on your grant or contract application or routing form
All forms and supplemental attachments must be typed.
Specify the appropriate Animal Research Facility to be used for your animal research (COMB, Shady Grove, UMB or Other)
